NAMHSA News for the period of October 16-31, 2009 based on the minutes compiled by Bobbi Devine, Recording Secretary. October 16 -Bobbi Devine posted the minutes report from October 1-15. These were approved October 21st. October 17 -Lynn Weber posted links to new NAMHSA website samples that she and Teresa were working on and invited review/comment. October 19 -Lindsey Hall posted a proposal for Youth classes at NAN. Pauline Entin also posted a youth involvement idea using a Merit Award Program as the reward. October 20 -Teresa Buzzell (Region 3) motioned to adopt the policy document that Pauline Entin finished on October 11. Jackie Moore (Region 6) seconded the motion. October 21 -Bobbi Devine announced that she had sent out all the ballots for the Bylaw change and Regions 1 and 5 Representative elections. October 22 -The Board poll to approve/deny the appointment of Eleanor Harvey and Jackie Arns-Rossi as NAN 2010 co-chairs closed. The nomination was approved. October 24 -A poll was begun to determine whether or not to adopt the policy document put together by Pauline Entin. Carra McClelland seconded the motion. October 25 -Danielle Miller (IM Secretary) reported a problem of an IM applicant's check not having the correct payor listed. Per NAMHSA's financial policy, all such checks must be returned to sender with a request for a check made payable to NAMHSA. October 28 -A new poll was set up to approve/deny the nomination of Denise Schumacher for the position of NAN 2010 Registrar. October 28 -Lindsey Hall uploaded the latest version of the MVS contract for the NAN 2010/2011 cookie manufacture and invited reviews and comments.
