REGIONAL REPORTS

Region 1 (Tracy Eilers)
June had two shows in Region 1, Fun Fun Fun in the Summer Sun held in St. Helens, OR and the Spokane Model Horse Show in Spokane, WA. Entrants report having a lovely time at both events! July doesn't have any other shows planned here in the Region. Best of luck and safe travels to our folks heading to NAN and BF this year in Kentucky!
******

Region 2 (Tom Dean)
June saw 1 show in the region, the 5th Breyerwest show Held June 11th in Sacramento.

Sponsored by Breyer, and hosted by Victoria Zanutto, this show and event continues to grow each year. Classes were large and competitive in all divisions.

Next up, NAN and the Breyerfest events in Kentucky.

Region 3 (Teresa Buzzell)
June is a rather light showing month that "suffers" from the self-imposed "No shows around BF/NAN" unwritten rule. Arizona and Colorado both had shows this month with Christine Armstrong putting on OSC: Light/Gaited/Sport & Spanish Classic in Tucson and Heather Roell's June 19th edition of Redline Revival: OF China, CMG China, Mini AR in Boulder.

(And I'm sorry for not having a May report!)

Major congrats to the region for being selected to host NAN 2011! Get your horses qualified, think about volunteering and save those pennies now for Tucson in June!

Upcoming:

July is another light showing month with one show in Tucson - July 17, 2010: High Noon Performance Challenge in Tucson

August is slightly more busy:

August 14, 2010: Redline Revival: Performance Edition in Boulder, CO. Contact: Heather Roell. (see NAMHSA website for information)
August 28, 2010: Red Devil Live OF Plastic Breyer in Golden, CO. Contact: Teresa Fedak. (see NAMHSA website for information)

I will be attending both shows, plus going to Region 1 for a much needed parental unit visit *and* appearing at another show in between the above pair.

Good luck to all at NAN and may you find everything you want at BF cheap!

Region 4 (Carra McClelland)
June saw a brand new show in Region 4 - Rough Riders Live in Fargo, ND. It was a sold out event and everyone had a great time!

July has many of us scrambling around getting ready for Breyerfest and NAN. Region 4 will be represented not only by people showing at NAN, but by people judging as well! I look forward to congratulating all the winners from Region 4 from both NAN and Breyerfest Live!

There are no shows scheduled in July or August for Region 4, but we have Party on the Platte coming up in September in Ashland, NE.

Region 5 (Lori Batchelor)
There were no shows in the region in the month of June. However, since I missed sending in a report for May I have to mention that in late May we had Indian Nations Live in Dewey, OK. As usual this was a great show, and we all had a really good time.

Looking forward to July, Sue Stewart is hosting the umpteenth BYO (Bring Your Own) all performance warm-up for NAN show in Bolivar, TX on July 10. It's called the BYO because you have to bring your own everything, including your tables and chairs and you get to do your own set up too. Other than that we are all looking forward to NAN and Breyerfest.

Region 6 (Jackie Moore)
Hello All!

There were no shows in Region 6 in June - many of us are getting prepared to travel to Lexington for NAN and Breyerfest!

The next show on our region schedule is Heart of Carolina Live on Sept 15, in Cary, NC.

See y'all in Kentucky!

Region 7 (Heather Jackson-Lain)
Region 7 hosted 1 show in June. On June 19th we saw the 8th incarnation of the Wonderful Big Orange Bash show. As always the show was filled with good old friends, a few new friends and lots of pretty horses. Jennifer Pomerance took over the reins to host the show this year and turned out another very enjoyable event.

Next up...
NAN, Breyerfest, Breakables, and Equilocity. See everyone in Kentucky

Region 8 (Marilou Mol)

Hi, all!

I didn't post a report for May...as many of you know, my mother's health has been difficult recently, and it takes a lot of time away.

So this will be a combination of May and June!

On May 8, the Stones hosted the Stone Horses Country Fair in Shipshewana, Indiana. Held in conjunction with Mayfest, the country fair is always a good time! We went to Sapelo Farm and once again got an opportunity to "meet" the horses which were the inspiration for the show models and had some wonderful food--and a few games! The show featured lots of entries and tough competition, and was well-run as usual. Thanks to Peter, Elaine, Sandy, Doug, Julie, and the rest of the Stone employees and family for making the country fair an enjoyable experience!

May 22 saw the final spring No Frills show for Great Lakes Congress, held in Huntley, Illinois. I was unable to attend, but I know those shows are always a good time!

The summer has gotten hotter, and as I write this, Breyerfest is just around the corner. I hope to see many region 8 members there!

Region 9 (Pat Coulter)
June was a quiet month in Region 9, with one show in Maryland. Beach Party Live, a Stone Co. sponsored show, is a perennial favorite in the region. This year boasted an impressive judges roster, I wish I had been able to attend!

There are no more approved shows listed until October. I know there are "thoughts" of other shows, send your packets in ladies!!

See you at NAN/BF, drive safe!

Region 10 (Valerie Parker)
There were 4 shows in Region 10 in June: Factory Ponies Live, China Buffet, and NEMHC were all held the same weekend in Spencer, MA. Summer Break Live (an all novice show) was held in Concord, NH. I didn't attend any of these shows, but from reading reports from those who did it sounded like they were well-attended with good competition. Region 10 is now gearing up for NAN and BreyerFest. I would also like to welcome Kate Cabot as the new Region 10 rep. I have enjoyed my time on the board and look forward to seeing many of you in KY!

Region 11 (Sandra Gibson)
June was a very good month, celebrating the first ever Little Bit of Fun live! It was a delightful success. I was pleased to have been the show holder and was ever amazed at the generosity of all involved. All profit went to the Little Bits Therapeutic Riding Association, who help children & adults ride horses for the betterment of themselves. We only had a few showers (14 in total) but everyone was so much fun to be around! We raised enough money to send one child to riding for a full seasons term, I am very proud of the show and all those who attended. Enough thanks can't be given out to everyone involved :)

Now with July coming we have another show, Lethbridge Live to look forward to :)
