NAMHSA News for the period of June 16-30, 2009 based on the minutes recorded by Chris Wallbruch, Recording Secretary.

On June 16th, Chris Wallbruch posted the June 1-15, 2009 Minutes. These were approved.

On June 17th, Susan Hurst posted a Merit Awards Gallery update.

On June 23rd, Lindsey Hall forwarded a request for a refund of NAN cancellation fees due to an entrant's birth of triplets. The Board agreed to refund 50% of the fees.

On June 24th, Chris Wallbruch posted the Region 10 special election results. Valerie Parker was elected the new Region 10 Representative, to serve out the term of Liesl Dalpe, who was elected to the VP position.

On June 27th, Barb Ness posted a NAN 2009 Auction update: "I am thrilled to report that through the generosity of a fantastic group of artists and bidders, the 2009 NAN Auction lots sold for an overall total of $19,111. Of that amount, $11,823.25 was donated to NAN [NAMHSA]. Thanks to everyone for their support of the 2009 NAN Auction!"

On June 30th, Lindsey Hall announced the 2008-2009 MSOTY winners:
WINNER: Model Horses Anonymous, hosted by Heather Jackson-Lain
RUNNER-UP: NorthWest Expo, hosted by Traci Durrell-Khalife
RUNNER-UP: Show for the Cure, hosted by Jenna Nejman
