REGIONAL REPORTS Region 1 (Tracy Eilers) No Report ****** Region 2 (Tom Dean) May 19th saw the "First Show of the New Season" in Anaheim, CA hosted by Sharon(and Phil) Massouris. This all mini (Stone, Breyer, CM, AR) show was hosted in their home, and featured Pizza lunch, a pause for the Preakness, and for those fortunate enough to be able to stay after, a roast beef dinner. As always we enjoyed being able to visit with our friends old and new from the southern half of the state. Up on June 30th, the "Dog N Pony Show" and "On the Dark Side" both in San Martin, CA ****** Region 3 (Pauline Entin) No Report ****** Region 4 (Carra McClelland) No Report ****** Region 5 (Lyn Norbury) No Report ****** Region 6 (Jackie Moore) Hello All! On May 12, South Florida Live was held in Pompano Beach, FL. It was nice to have enough entrants to spread out into a bigger room this year. Competition was fierce, and it was wonderful to see some new faces at this show! We all had a great time. There are no shows scheduled in the region for June, and many of us will be making the trek to Kentucky in July for NAN/ Breakables/ Equilocity/Breyerfest. Next show in the region is Florida Cracker Live on August 18 in Parrish, FL. Hope to see you there! ****** Region 7 (Stacy Faraci) No Report ****** Region 8 (Marilou Mol) Hi, all! May was pretty quiet in region 8, with one big exception...the Stone Horses Country Fair! This show in Shipshewana, Indiana, is always one of the highly anticipated and fun events of the spring! I was unable to attend this year, but understand that the Peter Stone Company hosted another good one! The show always includes cool awards, tough competition, and enjoyable related events. The events include a "Paint Your Own Test Run" seminar, a warehouse sale, the release of new models, and an auction of OOAK models painted by top artists. Not only that, but Shipshewana, in the heart of Amish country, is a destination in itself. It is very cool to hear the clop of horse hooves first thing in the morning! We are currently looking forward to NAN and Breyerfest..enjoy! ****** Region 9 (Pat Coulter) No Report ****** Region 10 (Kate Cabot) No Report ****** Region 11 (Terri Wright) May brought a new show to the Canadian scene, East Kooteney live in the scenic rocky mountains, a quick one day show full of fun, new hobby members and horses! It was well attended, and I heard, one of the funnest yet! Congrats to all winners! We have a bit of a break until August, when Lethbridge live in Lethbridge AB (august 4-5) and Chinook Winds in Calgary AB (August 11-12) roll around! Hope to see you there!
